What a nice surprise in the centre of Galway. Brasserie on the Corner (a.k.a. Blake’s pub) in Eglinton Street offers fantastic food at a very affordable price.

And not only food, as the wine list includes Tempranillo, Merlot or Cabernet Sauvignon from Italy, Spain, New Zeland, South Africa etc with prices from around 5-6 euros (glass) and 20- 25 euros (bottle). Please, remember we are in Ireland and wine is never cheap here.

Seafood and meat lovers can enjoy lunch and dinner every day, with main courses like Char grilled steak, Slow roast shoulder & grilled rack of lamb or Clare Island organic salmon.
There’s an Early Bird Pre-Theatre Menu from 5 to 7, offering (among others) Confit Duck leg with duck spring roll and mixed berry glaze.

If you are not that hungry you can try the wraps and deli boards, or give an opportunity to their dessert (Homemade Lemon Tart, Chocolate & raspberry pudding) and enjoy it with a good cup of coffee.
