Gourmet Tart Co.

We should name this post “Gourmet Tart Co. always something good”. Because they will give you good food from breakfast to dinner.

This chain began as a French-style bakery but now it is a good option for all your meals (tasty sandwiches with different ingredients according to the season) and a take-away menu you can check here.

Open times are Monday to Saturday at 7:30 a.m., and just a little later on Sundays (at 9:00), so it’s the perfect choice for that first coffee every morning, but also, a good option when all the other cafes are closing, (Gourmet and The Secret Garden are two of the few places in Galway where you can enjoy a coffee after 7 p.m.)

Besides every Sunday from 8 to 8 a big brunch, offering from the classical Scrambled Eggs to this elaborated Asian style: Japanese Vegetable Ramen, Ramen Noodles with wild Mushrooms, Chili, Bok Choy, Peppers, fried Tofu, Soft Boiled Egg, Soy Sauce and Coriander.

But if we have chosen to talk about them now is because they are carrying a contest out for Easter. It is quite simple:

You just have to guess how many eggs are used to make the meringues in the shops of Abbeygate St. Or Tesco window display.

The prize is a meal for two. Look for them on Facebook and good luck!
