Piano concert: Ah Ruem Ahn

An evening with a star in the making performing the best of piano music awaits.

This venue is part of the program Music for Galway (an organization created in 1989 bringing to the West of Ireland world class musicians) for 2013. Different recitals are programmed until the spring, you can check the details following the link.


Ah Ruem Ahn was awarded with the Second Prize and Silver Medal – the first prize was not awarded, at the XVII Paloma O’Shea Santander International Piano Competition. The competition is held every three years and Music for Galway has been inviting the winners for over two decades. Having toured Europe and the Americas and performed at such prestigious halls such as the Zankel Hall at Carnegie Hall, NY is playing tonight, Thursday, 14 November 2013, at 20:00 in  Aula Maxima, NUI Galway

Tickets are 16 and 20 euros, and in her program for the evening are these compositions:

Albéniz: Iberia Book 1.
Beethoven: Sonata in A flat major, Op. 110.
Jane O’Leary: Five Bagatelles (world première) commissioned by Music for Galway with funds from the Arts Council/An Comhairle Ealaíon.
Schubert: Sonata in G major, D. 894.
