BLUES AFTER HOURS

From this Tuesday, March 25th, all the Blues lovers can go dancing (or to learn how to dance) to the pub De Burgos, in Augustine Street.

Classes are at 8 pm followed by social dancing till 11pm.

Every class is €11 / €9 (Student and Unwaged) but they offer discounts if you buy a block of classes.

Dancing after the parade

If you are around Woodquay Square from 1:30pm to 3:30pm this Monday (St. Patricks Day, just in case you have forgotten), the St Patricks Festival in association with the Galway Dance Project will host a display of the vibrant movement and dance community here in Galway with a mix of martial arts, movement and dance from all over the world with a series of dance workshops:

  • 1 pm Tai Chi Display from Galway Tai’chi Academy
  • 1.30 pm Capoeira Display from Capoeira Candeias
  • 2 pm Swing Dance Display from Galway Swing
  • 2.30 pm Milonga from Galway Tango
  • 3 pm Bachata Display from Bachata Republic

This is a party for all the family, and especially for children there will also be the next activities:

  • A Teddy Bears picnic for families in Woodquay Park in association with Enable Ireland from 1.30pm – 3.30pm.
  • A family disco with DJ Will Softly
  • Performances by Galway Community Circus.
