Galway knowledge

As you know, in WhatWhereGalway we feel a “Je ne sais quoi” when a good Table Quiz is coming. This time The King’s Head is hosting a Quiz on general knowledge and about our city this Wednesday 19th of February from 7 30 pm.

All proceeds towards Defibrilator Training in The Latin Quarter – Making the Heart of the City Heart Safe.

Guinness Live At The Latin Quarter

A small festival sponsored by the big company brings us some good DJs and bands this weekend.

All the big names will be place in Buskers Browne’s, The King’s Head and The Quays. But all the pubs in the area are offering something special.

For us, the best option is the concert on Saturday (September 28th) in Buskers Browne’s of the Wexford artist Wallis Bird. From 8 pm.

This is the program of the festival, as you can see it offers the opportunity to enjoy a Kila‘s concert, the music of Ocean Colour Scene and/or The Stone Roses:

Admission to all gigs will be free and on a first-come, first-served basis.

All events are over 18’s.

If you are an American in Ireland, or you have been an Irish in America, tomorrow you have to party (We are sure you can find any other excuse 🙂 )

Some of the pubs hosting a party tomorrow are:

clubs & pubs for the weekend

Here’s the selection for the week. 4 different places to enjoy from traditional music and swing to Lady Gaga.

Let’s start in the heart of Galway. When was the last time you saw some Irish dancing? Every Wednesday we can enjoy it at The King’s Head:

And from traditional music to Disco Divas. In Halo, this Friday, from midnight you can dance your trouble away with the music of Kylie, Katy and Gaga:

On Saturday we have the Barnardos Fun Draiser, a party first on board of the Corrib Princess and then, from 22h in the Commercial Boat Club. Barnardos is an organization helping children and families in need. You can check their website here

And, of course, on Saturday, you can go to see the final of the Champions League, for example in Massimo’s big screens.

On Sunday (like every Sunday) The Blue Note will bring us The Rye (enjoy the banjo sound from 7 pm in the Beer Garden):
